Axolojet Virtual Rules

1. The airline

Axolojet Virtual is a Mexican virtual airline flying on the IVAO network, with bases in Guadalajara (MMGL), Mexico City (MMMX) and Monterrey (MMMY). It is not a real airline and has no relationship with any commercial airline.

2. Joining

  1. Joining is free.
  2. You need an IVAO account and a simulator that can fly the fleet's aircraft.
  3. You send your application on the Join page. We reply within 24 hours at most.
  4. You fly a check flight in a Cessna 172 from Guadalajara (MMGL) to Puerto Vallarta (MMPR) and back. If you hold a Private Pilot (PP) rating or higher on IVAO, you don't need to and go straight to the next step.
  5. If you pass (or don't need it), we sign you up in NewSky, where flights are logged.

3. Operations

  1. We fly on the IVAO network and follow its rules at all times.
  2. Our call sign is XOL followed by the flight number, and on the radio we are "Ambystoma". For example, XOL123 is said "Ambystoma one two three".
  3. Flights are logged in NewSky.
  4. You can fly any of the fifteen aircraft in the fleet from day one; there are no ranks limiting the aircraft.
  5. We fly IVAO and IVAO Mexico division tours as a group, as well as free flight with the route program, where each route has its own fixed flight number.

4. Conduct

  1. Respectful treatment of controllers, other pilots and the team, on frequency, on Discord and on any airline channel.
  2. We help each other: asking is fine, and teaching what you know is even better.

5. Personal data protection (GDPR)

What data we collect (complete list)

This is the list of all the personal data Axolojet Virtual handles, where it comes from, what we use it for and how long it is kept. We don't use cookies or advertising trackers.

Application to join (form on this site)

  • First name
  • Last name (optional)
  • Email address
  • IVAO VID
  • Discord username (optional)
  • Simulator you use
  • Flying experience you tell us about (optional)
  • Preferred base (MMGL, MMMX or MMMY)
  • How you found us and which post brought you here, if the link says so
  • Date and time of the application

Purpose: To review your application, contact you for your check flight and sign you up.

Kept for: While you are a member, or until you ask us to delete them.

Technical data when you send the application

  • A hashed value derived from your IP address (not the IP itself), used only to limit repeated submissions

Purpose: To prevent spam and automated submissions.

Kept for: Automatically discarded after one hour.

Website server (Hostinger)

  • IP address, date and page visited in the server's technical logs

Purpose: Security and operation of the site. They are produced by the hosting provider, not by Axolojet.

Kept for: As long as the hosting provider keeps its logs.

As a member: IVAO activity

  • IVAO VID, rating and public activity
  • XOL call sign, route, aircraft, altitude and speed while you are connected (shown on this site only during your flight)

Purpose: To show Axolojet flights live and organize tours and events.

Kept for: Live flights are not stored: they are read from IVAO and discarded within a minute.

As a member: flight logging in NewSky

  • Flights, routes, hours flown and the flight data NewSky records

Purpose: To keep a record of your activity with the airline.

Kept for: While you are a member, or until you ask us to delete them.

As a member: community

  • Username and messages on our Discord server

Purpose: Group communication.

Kept for: According to Discord's settings; you can delete your messages or ask us for help.

Your rights, wherever you're from

Every pilot, whatever their country or nationality, has the right to access all of the data listed above, correct it and/or have it deleted, as well as to object to its use. We apply the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), as IVAO requires, in addition to Mexican personal data protection law (ARCO rights).

To exercise them, write to contacto@axolojetva.com from the email address you registered with. We reply within 30 days. If you ask us to delete your data, we remove it from this site's server, from our mailbox and from NewSky, and we remove you from the airline.

What we never publish

Your last name or your personal email. Only your IVAO VID and your flight call sign (XOL) may appear in public. The only email addresses shown on the site belong to the airline.

Who we share it with

Only with the services we need to operate: Hostinger (website and email), NewSky (flight logging), IVAO (flight network) and Discord (community). We don't sell or hand over your data to anyone else.

6. Changes to the rules

Any change is published on this page with its new version and date, and announced on Discord.
